In most cases, we think that the ailment (illness, disease, pain) happens and then we have an emotion about it. Actually, it’s the emotion that is the cause of the ailment. So, find out how you are feeling about the ailment that you are experiencing.
- acne = insecurity about how they are accepted by others
- multiple sclerosis = feeling unsupported in life, unworthy
- joints = flexibility
- spine = support
- skin = boundaries
- cancer = childhood grief, only do what they have to do…choked of joy
Ask yourself questions that uncover when the ailment started and what the catalyst was and what you were resisting.
Sometimes, you can find out about the ailment by speaking it…like “Asthma – hard to breathe” or “Legs – it makes it hard to move forward”
You can then talk to the ailment or the affected area of your body and ask it questions to find out more. Your ailment is your teacher if you will listen to the conversation that happens.
